The Upper Rio FM Society is pleased to welcome Frank Kelley, KB7PVU, to the board of directors. Frank will replace Larry Goga as Secretary (Larry is now VP).
January 22, 2014: The Gary Diamond Memorial Repeater, K5FSB was placed in operation this morning by Mike Langner and Larry Goga. This returns the Upper Rio FM Society to Sandia Crest after an absence of many years. Initial reports from Don Wood and Jim Hunter indicate that the repeater is operating well.

December 22, 2013: The Upper FM Society’s K5UUR D-Star gateway has been experiencing difficulties for the past several months. We are pleased to report that Ed James, KA8JMW, has solved the problem and the gateway is now stable. A big thank you to Ed!
The new K5URR D-Star UHF D-Star repeater/gateway is operational. The repeater/gateway is located at the Upper Rio Hub building (South West of Gibson and San Mateo in Albuquerque). Go to the Digital Repeater page for more details.
The W5URD D-Star repeater is back online. The problem was with a battery charger not the actual repeater hardware.
The Upper Rio’s W5URD D-Star repeater has experienced a hardware failure. The failure appears to be in the RF output section (the repeater appears to be able to still receive).
